itt people who don't don't what dubstep is and think this WOBBLEWOBBLE shit is called dubstep
EDIT:
Not saying all the wobble shit is always terrible, though.
Most of it is dubstep though, unless you're so into electronic stuff that you
HAVE to call that shit "grime" (which is like complaining about a kid calling Minor Threat punk instead of hardcore).
what are you talking about? grime is uk underground rap, like this;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8hi7CaqE8A
(this video is so laughable though)(i also have no idea how to embed)
dude who sound mount kimbie on the first page is spot on! seeing them later today, always great.
some other choices on the more minimal side of dubstep - joker, dj oneman, scuba, pariah (new ep is off every chain ever), joy orbison, kassem mosse and omar s

Dubstep/grime/two-step is massive other here. And the main people who listen to it are the fucking scumbags of the earth.
I could never relate or understand it.

i work at nightclub downtown and every sunday is dubstep ALL NIGHT FUCKING LONG. its called crunchae sundae and all these beach douchebags and skanks show up with water bottles, pockets full of ecstasy and a shitty attitude. they don't tip, they barely buy anything from the taco stand or bar and i'm subjected to dubstep garbage for 5+ hours. it's maddening. i hate sundays.
Posted by insomniawesome on Sun Aug 01, 04:59 | Back to Top | Quote | Send PM
how can you have a shitty attitude on ecstasy?

how can you have a shitty attitude on ecstasy?
i've asked myself this question many times. some of them are overly nice but it's usually people i already know. i just hate the crowd.

Up here in VT I spin dubstep around town occasionally. It's a smaller city so there isn't a big scene but there's a lot of love for it up here, unfortunately a lot of it comes from the hippie/jam band kids, but hey, what are you gonna do? if anyone's interested I go by Dirtstax and have a soundcloud that you can check out http://soundcloud.com/dirtstax
Also, as far as Grime goes, Wiley's my shit. Just check this shit out and tell me he doesn't kill it.

Saw rusko, bassnectar, TC, and some other good dj's at audiotistic it was amazing.Looking forward to seeing benga and skream again. I honestly think they are the best combo live.
Bassnectar was AMAZING but that's also when I was rolling the hardest so that might've contributed to it too but still. I definitely wanna see him again soon.
That was my first time at the NOS center and I really liked the setup and the huge lake in the front. I checked out every stage i think and every room had killer light shows. Good times.

I hope you saw ed rush and optical at the end. Was drum and bass but probably one of the most intense sets of the night. So heavy in those rooms compared to outside. Trapped the bass way better.

That was the small room with the low ceiling right? That's where I ended my night, and yeah that room was something else haha. I saw Bassnectar, Cudi, Rusko, A-Trak, Treasure Fingers and finished my night off there. I thought every set (besides Cudi, which I was pretty excited for in the beginning) was awesome.

Haha you were all over the place towards the end. Sucks I missed a-trak but my homie got rolled up smoking herb like an hour before it was over. Definitely wont be my last massive this year. Had a blast. Rusko was good as always but predictable. He's doing A LOT to pull new fans into the genre which is cool.
